Seymour Duncan has not forgot about Tele players. Have you ever wished you could get the famous Tele snap but have problems with single coil hum? The Vintage Stack Tele Set fixes this problem by stacking two coils on top of each other, making a pickup that eliminates the hum, yet still looks just like a single coil. Traditional Tele tones are now dead silent, but retain the snap and cluck you need for country, rockabilly, and blues.
very clean, very strong, great for effects loops where tone loss is a consideration
I am SUPER happy I went with these, they are strong pickups with a clear crisp, sound, minimal tonality. If you want to use an effects chain or if you really want to hear the wood tone, I highly recommend these, will not color your sound too much at all
guitar sounds CRISP
This set is a perfect fit for standard Telecaster models, but with no hum since they are stacked Humbuckers - one coil on top of the other, rather than next to each other for a more pin pointed pick up of the string-vibration, without losing the bite and dynamic, as well as fit of single coil Telecaster guitars . Seymour Duncan came up with this idea several decades ago, and it has proven to be reliable and often copied, more or less successful by others Great sound and perfect fit- I rather stay with the original.
I love these pickups for my classic vibe tele. The bridge pickup is so hot that it doesn't have a super clean sound but rather just a slight bit of bitey edge to it - and that's just what i was looking for because i play for a lot of Elvis tribute artists and James Burton's tone was always just over the edge of clean. And the neck pickup has a ton of body to it. Together they're a perfect match for a variety of styles. Great job with this matchup Seymour Duncan!
Almost as open and chimy as my original Tele AmStd singles, though donβt have any single cool hum ππ». Slightly less output than stock but a tad warmer and fuller sounding.
Folks- these are fantastic! I've got 'em in FOUR Tele's and stacked sets in two Strats. You get the vintage sound and tonality (and look) with none of the noise. Love 'em!
These pickups sound great, and are pretty much silent (noise wise), they have a nice high output and for those who may be wondering if these will fit a Squier Telecaster, yes they do, but it's a tight fit.
Overall im very pleased, i can easily recommend them.
