Good enough
Took a little thought to get things lined up but it came out good. The angles on the feet where they contact the barrels are a little off but close enough to work. The screws furnished in the kit are a bit tweezer-ish. I changed to regular 1/4" bolts to attach the legs to the barrels and they worked a lot better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointing Finish and Packaging.
Ordered this unit but the description does not say what is included in the package. Wrote when I received it to say that the flue that between the two barrels was not part of the items delivered. Expressed my concern that this should have been included but have not received any reply! The parts seem to be of a good quality except for the dampener control, which is a bent screwdriver and quite unacceptably inaccurate in its function. Have had to have a stainless steel rod inserted in its place. The remaining parts are chinese made cast iron and they look reasonably good but still need to be tested. We have 55gal drums here in Oz but the parts fit our drum quite well. The door is once again poorly finished with pathetic handle and poor catch design. The packaging was also not up to standard as the nuts and bolts had come out of the too thin plastic packet and were all over the base of the cardboard box. Warmer Now
The shop has never been this warm before, not even in the summer heat. I had an earth stove and attempted for the last 6 years to heat with it. I owned a double barrel before and loved it. I need to find some pieces of pipe to weld into the top barrel for a heat-a-lator that the old one had. Talk about heat... There is nothing short of a forced air furnace that can compare. Wood heat warms you all the way to the bone in the winter. My wife loves to come out to the shop when I have a fire going... she even feeds the stove so I don't get to take breaks to do it. LOL. I reversed where the stove pipe connects to the top barrel and then where the stove pipe exits to the chimney to save stove pipe.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value bit, but fitment is subpar on some of the pieces
It’s a pretty good little kit if your looking to build your own wood stove. But don’t expect to pull it out of the box and slap it together. You’ll need to do some grinding to get the connections to fit properly, even then the fit is less than desirable. Other than that no complaints.
