Wine drinker's must have equipment
This product makes it possible to savor that expensive or vintage bottle of wine without the need to open it. It comes with easy to understand instructions with pictures so that even a novice such as myself can use it straight out of the box. If you're pondering getting one, I would highly recommend purchasing one and the extra needle pack. It includes a standard needle, a fast pour needle and one that is thinner than the standard for older vintage wines. That one especially is highly recommended for wines over 10 years old, as the corks become more brittle and will fall apart if you attempt to use a standard corkscrew. These devices are used by several local restaurants who swear by them and are able to offer their customers a wider selection of rare or expensive vintages.

Item not for high volume consumption
If you are into expensive wines and drink a glass or two this product is good for you, because the bottle remains sealed as if new. But if you plan to drink the entire bottle of wine it’s a waste of time, I’ll admit that I didn’t thiouroughly research the product before I purchased it! But after using it through two bottles of wine the needle broke off. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning it.

A cool product that's a lot of money for an infrequent wine drinker to spend
The Coravin works exactly as advertised. It's easy to use AFTER looking at YouTube videos of others using it (the directions are confusing) and allows me to drink from multiple bottles of wine over a period of a few months without having to open them. If I drank a lot more wine or used it in a restaurant or bar I would consider the Coravin a better value than I do as an infrequent wine drinker. The Coravin is a good product though.

WORKS!!!
I've been trying to find a good wine preserver for many many years....This one, the CORAVIN seems to work pretty well. I like the look of the tool and the stand, which is extra, makes a handsome display! Some folks are complaining about how much the gas costs; however, I have tried several bottles and still have gas from the first cylinder! Stop complaining people and enjoy!!!

Great for those days when only a glass or two would do..
We love to use it on weekdays that only a glass or two are needed. We started buying costlier bottles without having to worry of it getting spoiled and having to drink the whole bottle in one night! It’s an awesome gadget!! We love to do tastings of different wines in one night…. It’s great for that too!

Refills are painfully expensive. You can use generic by removing/ unscrewing the fitting from the coravin brand cartridges.

Unique, clever, and functional. Coravin does what it claims.
The Coravin system enables me to enjoy a bottle of good red wine a glass at a time over several days - an experience that would otherwise yield one enjoyable drink, with subsequent glasses declining in satisfaction until the second half of the bottle had become vinegar. Learning to use the system effectively requires some practice - and it's worth it. Try a couple of $10 bottle before moving up.
