    Nice little skinner.

I have a couple of other Elk Ridge knives, including a set that includes a great little skinner and a gut hook knife. That little skinner is still my favorite knife years later, so I've been watching this one since they were a couple dollars less. I like the unique cutout on the blade, and unlike what others say, I totally like that it has a small blade. It's a skinner, not a carving or hunting knife. The small size is perfect for doing its intended job- where you pull the skin away from the carcass while the blade separates it from tissue underneath. I don't have livestock ready to butcher at the moment, and it's not hunting season, so I haven't used this particular knife yet, but the other one is perfect, and sharpens well. ...that said, I do like the shape of the other blade more, as it's less "curved" on the edge side, making it a snap to sharpen on a stone and strop. I have another brand of knife with a larger but same shaped blade as this has, and I'm not as fond of it. We'll see with this one. Regardless, it's a lovely little skinner with a nice wood handle that fits the hand well, and I recommend it.

    Poor craftsmanship

The one I got was a cull the edge had dips in it and dull, the handle was lose out of the box. So in good conscience I cannot recommend Sincerely Dave

  • Very nice, very sharp

One of the nicest skinners i have ever used. Used on deer head to skin for a mount. Could use a little bigger one for other skinning needs

  • Very small

When it arrived I was very excited, I opened the box quickly only to find that it was a lot smaller than it looked in the pictures. The finish on the knife had spots and pits on the blade . You get what you pay for I guess . Still looks cool though .

  • Simply elegant!

A very nicely designed small belt knife and very nice quality sheath. The blade is thick at about 3.5 mm. The grip is comfortable. The knife has a full tang making it very strong. Amazing quality coming out of China. This knife and sheath are an amazing value.

  • Decent quality

I really enjoyed the sheath, and a tool work on the knife. Wish the steel was a little better
