I upgraded from a Nord Electro and the emulation is much more authentic on this organ. I used a rotary speaker with the electro but probably don't need it with this organ since the rotary effect is so much more realistic, even when running mono. And of course having dual manuals makes all the difference. Each manual has 2 independent sets of draw bars (A&B) that I can switch to and from with 1 button. And, the drawbar settings can be played live or saved to presets. This is not a cheap organ but it's worth every penny. It is a little more work (than the Electro) to carry around from venue to venue but I am happy to do it! I bought an ATA flight case for it and highly recommend doing that.

I have worked hard to find a keyboard that is the closest possible to an actual B3. I have owned and played B3s for many, many years. After trying virtually all of the ones available, the C2D came out head and shoulders above the rest. It plays and sounds more like a B3 than any of the others. I will still use my B3 when it is convenient, but I would not hesitate to use the C2D on any gig. The bonus is that it has some great pipe organ and combo organ samples. I might use those sometimes but mainly the B3 sounds is what I will use. Another bonus is that the Leslie simulator is excellent. I will usually use my C2D with a 122 Leslie, but if that is not convenient, I wouldn't hesitate to stereo powered speakers and feel good about the leslie effect.
