Suck it, T-Mobile!
I work a job that mostly requires me to sit around and do a whole lot of nothing. I have my DVR at home set up to record TV shows straight to a hard drive in my media center, which is a computer with 5 terabytes of storage that also includes all of my CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays ripped to it as well. I used to download stuff from that setup to my tablet at work. Problem is, there's no wifi there, and T-Mobile doesn’t offer an unlimited data plan for tablets. However, I have their Truly Unlimited plan on my phone. I used to use my phone as a hotspot to download my stuff to my tablet. But, recently T-Mobile decided to crack down on that and tell me I couldn't use my UNLIMITED data the way I wanted. So, I needed a new solution. I used to have an OTG cable way back when it was first implemented, but I tossed it out because at that time OTG was still buggy and ill-implemented. However, recently I'd been seeing and hearing more and more about how great it is, especially on Android Lollipop. So, I decided to give it another shot. Now I download my stuff through my phone, put it on the drive, and I can then plug into my tablet to enjoy it. Can't use it
