Get a grip!
As any PF9 user knows, the flush magazine does not afford an ideal grip (with large hands). The PF9-492 grip extender makes an improvement, but I feel the way to go is the PF9-808 extended 8rd magazine. The 8rd mag makes the PF9 feel like a different pistol, one you can really get a grip on. Remember, the best form of gun control is a firm grip!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Must have for comfort but has its faults.
I would agree with the other reviews on the "must have" factor of this magazine. If you have a PF9, you need one of these extended magazines for a nice full grip but the excitement stops there. If you're purchasing this for the extra round capacity then stop where you're at. I loaded mine up with the standard 7 with no issues and went to load the 8th and it was a battle. I know, it's a new spring so it just needs to be broke in right? After a little fighting I got it in and loaded it into the PF9. The only problem is it wouldn't load. There needs to be a tad bit of spring give in order to load the magazine and with the 8th round it's so tight it just won't go. I removed the 8th round and it worked fine. So you can do a 7+1 like the normal magazine but that defeats the porpoise if you're going for the extra round. I was thinking maybe the spring wasn't installed correctly but I couldn't get the bottom plate off no matter how hard I tried to inspect. That seems to be another issue the magazine has and Kel-Tec requests to have it sent in. Not worth my time, it's great for the grip and that's it. Kel-Tec has a great look, feel and price but I think they must skip the details and quality control.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Gr8 upgrade
This 8 round magazine is a great upgrade for my Kel Tec PF9. The traditional magazines hold 7 rounds and extend only to the base of the grip. This effectively requires gripping the pistol with 1 1/2 fingers if you have big hands like me. The extended 8 round magazine drops about an inch below the base of the grip, thus providing a much better grip on the pistol and much better control. The added bonus is the additional round of ammunition. This product works well and delivers on the potential of the upgrade.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Makes the PF-9 feel right
I originally balked at the price, don't get me wrong. It's a hair more on the Kel-tec website though, so the price is the price. After putting it in my PF-9 and firing it though, totally worth the price. I plan to buy another. My little finger now just fits on the grip, which allows me to hold the PF-9 in a more secure way, increasing accuracy, and making it more fun to shoot. Great Grip Improvement.
The magazine is nice and makes it easier to grip the gun, but it doesn't hold 8 rounds only 7. I tried to get 8 in both magazines but it will not fit. The web ad is inaccurate. I like the magazine regardless because it help me get a better grip on the gun. Worth the Cost!
Came exactly as pictured. Gives the gun a much more secure feel in my hand! The clip was also able to hold all eight rounds. This is OEM so that's just how it is. I find that unlike standard magazines with just finger extensions the Slide does not lock back when empty. Not considering a firefight in my future it's not a big deal to me. If you push the Mag up as you rack the slide on an empty it will lock. I purchased two seems with the addition of the "extra" round the magazine does not lock up tight.
