For more than 15 years I have insisted on using Pilot G2 0.7 gel pens. Recently a friend challenged me to try the Pentel EnerGel Pearl 0.7. I was skeptical as I have had folks argue that other gel pens were “just as good as the Pilot”. None of them were. For two weeks now I have been using the two pens side by side and I must admit that the Pentel may be better. If the Pentel writing ball proves to be more durable than the Pilot’s very fragile ball, I will be fully converted.
