Great book that I read with my family last school year. It's not as good as the first book (Mrs Frisby), but that is common among sequels. If Mrs. Frisby left you asking for more, DO get this one. Many of the same characters, and a great high-quality book. I prefer the writing style from the author of Mrs. Frisby, who is the father of the author of this book. Most chapters left my girls asking for another chapter, and Jeremy was their favorite character throughout both books. Now when they see a crow they call it Jeremy.

After reading the delightful "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" I just HAD to read this sequel! It is written by the daughter of the author of the preceding book and it does not disappoint! It is a continuation of the story and a must-read for those familiar with the 1st book of the series. Learn more about the incredibly clever self-sustaining community of rats in this book, and how they thwart a plan (by humans) to build a dam which would flood their valley. Incredibly captivating and entertaining; a delightful book that should be part of every fine literature collection.
"Racso and the Rats of NIMH" picks up where "Mrs. Frisby..." left off. It details the arrival of a new rat to the community, as well of the rats' struggle to combat a dam that the humans are building that would flood their new home. It is very well written. If you liked the first, you should like this, too. You also might try the third in the series, "R-T, Margaret, and the Rats of NIMH."
If you have read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH you have to read Rasco. Great continuation of the story. 👍🏻👍🏻
