Worth the Investment and Additional Filter
I really love this coffee maker so far. My former coffee maker died and I wanted to find a good one that will last a while; I think this one fits the bill. Easy to use, brews AMAZING coffee and looks great on my counter. I haven't used the program feature yet, but I'm sure I will for my first big party. :) I highly recommend it except for one small criticism. It requires an additional filter (charcoal) for water in the tank that you have to remember to purchase and keep on hand for best results. Had I known that ahead of time I might have gone with a different model, but probably still a Cuisinart. All features of the coffee maker do not work.
The BOLD Feature of the coffee maker does not work. When the button is depressed the green light does not light which indicates the feature is not activated. A nice brewer. Nice hot cup of coffee
I’ve had a nearly identical Cuisinart for years with no problems but needed a new carafe. I bought this instead hoping to have very hot coffee. My husband likes it VERY hot. It works great, has nice features and is a little bigger than my pretty one. My husband still pours a cup and microwaves it though. I think it’s plenty hot. Great coffee maker!
I love this thing. After previously having a cheapo coffee maker and now having this one, I will never go back! I love all of the features like keeping the plate at different temperatures, bold brew, etc. Totally makes the purchase worth it. Comes with everything you will need to get started and to keep great coffee coming your way. Also has a cleaning feature which I didn't know about until reading the instructions. At 14 cups, this is a big unit. It brews fast enough, with the exception of it is a bit slow if you select the bold brewing option. Ever other feature and function works great and is well designed, with one additional small complaint: the water canister lid does not hinge open enough to allow easy filling of the water tank. This is a new and improved version of a coffee maker I've enjoyed for years. New interface is better as is clock display. Perfect drip brew. Soooo happy with this one!
After trying Mr. Coffee newer models and being disappointed in the "plasticky" taste and just didn't brew my favorite coffee right. This Cuisinart model does an awesome job!
