Nice quality but slips on rounded rear rail bikes
Nice quality and lightweight aluminum but - my rear rail where it attaches is almost round and no matter how much I tightened it would slip under the weight of the bike. It is designed for a flatter surface. I solved the problem by drilling a hole through the kickstand and rail then using a small bolt/nut. Light duty light weight kickstand.
Purchased this for a higher end bike . Diddn't work too well because chain stays were a bit too large for it and ended up gouging the heck out of the bike. Would.likely work fine on a road bike or.lower end bike with smaller or normal size chain stays to mount it to. How well it works depends on its location
This is a nice enough looking kickstand and quality appears to be good, however how well it works depends somewhat on how it is attached to your bike. The bike I bought this for has chain stays that are round almost their entire length. The kickstand's clamp is oval in shape and when clamping to a round tube it has a hard time getting enough grip not to rotate. I have the screws on the clamp really tight and if there is a little extra weight on the bike (eg. your front or rear carrier/basket has a little something in it) the kickstand just doesn't want to hold, but instead rotates on the chain stay. I have five bikes and checked them all. Four out of the five have chain stays that begin as ovals (right at the bottom bracket), but then round out as they get to about the mid-point of the tube. I think most applications for this are likely to be where placement is back somewhat on the chain stay, and that can be problematic, as I've described above.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointed
This is really not a neg review to say. It will work great on a kids bike, but not an adult bike. Bike is to heavy for it. Placed it where it should be, but it doesn't hold up. Adjusted as much possible , still no luck. rVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Kickstand has some issues with large bikes and rectangular training arms
The kickstand works well for many bikes, but there are some issues. 1. For large frame bikes the adjustable arm is too short and would cause the bike to lean too far over. I tried it on a 21.5" Trek Fuel and it was too short. 2. For kickstand only works with trailing arms that are round or oval. If the trailing arm is rectangular, they don't work - see the picture below.

Flimsy stand, brittle aluminum
