Bright, easy to recharge
Nice and bright, easy to recharge, seats nicely on my handlebars. The light I had before this popped off my bars and I eventually lost it that way. This one is rock steady. Plenty bright with a couple brightness modes and a blinking mode. Charge lasts several evenings of use, and is very easy to recharge with the included USB-microUSB charger. I own an older Cygolite Metro 360 which has been used constantly over the last few years. It has never failed me, resists moisture well, and holds a single charge for about 5 - 6 hours in the "flashing strobe light" mode. Although the new 800 promises (and delivers) more light, the controls are now stupidly more complex. Options for the sake of options are NOT an improvement, just looks like a justification to raise the price on an otherwise competent light. And why change the size of the charging port? Still a great product, but not buying into the silly increased "illumination" hype. I am taking back the old 360 gifted to my girl friend, and giving her the new 800. Great bright light that is easy to install and easy to charge.
I just purchased this light because my NiteRider mini-110 seemed to be lacking on the roads with today's distracted drivers. I love the 1 piece design and how quick and easy it is to install. The light is exceptionally bright and lights up the road and trails very well. The strobe mode is also helpful because it seems to catch the eye of drivers on the road. Bright light that is easy to use!
The light is very bright, has many modes (solid and flashing) that I found easy to use after reading the directions once, it holds a charge for multiple rides, works well in the city and on bike trails, is easy to install on your handlebars and can easily be removed if you lock your bike and step into a restaurant, and is easy to charge with a USB charger. I have now purchased two of these lights after a lot of research. Some reviews said they are hard to use but I have had no issues even when I am riding my bike. I can't imagine needing a light with more lumens because this light is very bright (if anything, too bright) and the size is great as well. Very solid mid-level light
Light is built well. Attaches very easily to both the top bars and the center bar if you are out of room, say if you have aero bars attached. Multiple modes are very convenient. Casts a very nice long and wide beam. Works well for more than one person. Only qualm I have is mine flickers multiple times a ride, and not just over bumps. Not a huge problem, but not sure why it does it. Best bik light ever!
The light is so bright in normal mode it make me want to ride in the evenings. It keeps its charge for much longer than I expected. I hated my old lights because they powered off as I cycled through the modes, this one does not! It also doubles as a regular flashlight because it's so easy to remove from the mount. On a Bicycle, Being Seen May Save Your Life
The best feature of this product is the power of the light. It virtually guarantees that oncoming traffic and other road users will see you, even in broad daylight. It appears to be well made. However, if you ride a road bike there are two things that may concern you. The light is quite heavy, and it is a struggle to get it to fit on anything resembling aero handlebars.
