I love Urban Decay mascara, it lasts a long time, doesn't flake or smudge. I do not wear waterproof mascara because it is hard on my lashes and this mascara doesn't smudge at all under my eyes like other brands do.

I purchased this mascara 12 days ago to try it out after reading an internet magazine review of women magazine editors favorite mascaras. I have been using L'Oreal Voluminous Original for about a year, which I love in every way, but it has recently started causing my eyes to itch and water. I have a lot of allergies, so I wasn't surprised, but I was terribly disappointed since it had been perfect for me prior to the new reaction. I have used Urban Decay Perversion twice and so far it has not caused the itch/watery eye reaction. It takes 5 or 6 coats for it to show on my rather thin lashes, so the coverage isn't that great for me. I'm impatient and like a product that adds a lot of thickness and dramatic contrast with maybe a 2-3 coat application at most. Yesterday I applied an eye cream and BB Cream on my face, and when I got home from work I looked like a racoon. If you use facial make-up, eye or BB Creams (which I usually don't), I wouldn't recommend this product. Humid environments may also cause this, but I live in a very dry climate, and it hasn't been hot enough yet to perspire. If you like and can get away with a natural look, this would probably be a good mascara to try. First of all I'd like to point out one con...the name "Perversion". Pros: Very light weight on my eyelashes. I use this mostly on my upper lashes. The brush is a bit too thick to work on the lower lashes properly. I wanted a mascara that I could build layers on the upper lashes without feeling like it weighed a ton. This one fits that bill. Does not irritate my sensitive eyes. That's why I bought it in the first place. Very little to no flaking. I have allergies that cause my eyes to water. Especially my right eye. So I'm very pleased how this mascara holds up. Overall, I'm absolutely loving it! I will be purchasing again.
