SynopsisThe use of numbers had meaning for the Hebrews, and exegetical points are missed by scholars who don't understand them. Davis avoids the sensationalism that has discredited this important biblical study., A sane explanation of biblical numerology. Davis explains the conventional, rhetorical, symbolic, and mystical use of numbers in this fascinating study of the structure and syntax of biblical numbers.
i have never been one to simply believe something simply because an alleged authority proclaims it to be true .but mr davis explains many of the mysteries of the bible that until now could not be taken literally and make any sense. the reader is taken fairly deep into the science of numerology as it pertains to the bible making it easy to see any socalled contradictions due to mistranslations through the centurys. the reader will be able to ascertain the authenticity of the translation he is reading. if the letters in any part of scripture do not present a logical[mathmatical] sequence you may determine the script is of bogus origin. the bible is in fact one big mathmatical equation in allegorical form. many riddles of quantum mechanics have been hidden in sripture until now, hense the sudden interest in the bible by the scientific community who until recently considered it to be a book of myths and fairytales..the beginner may have some difficulty understanding the text at first due to the writing style of the author that is a bit verbose . i find it impossible that the bible could have been concieved by the puny human intellect.
