TKK-010 - Aisin - Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump. A genuine part is a part in the auto manufacturer’s original box with their logo on the box. Verify that the item fits your car.
Aisin has a great reputation but for this particular product ( timing belt kit for Kia Sorento) I say stay away and get Gates belt and GMB pump instead. First, the water pump isn't as smooth die cast compared to GMB. There are visible crist at the back whereas GMB seems casted in a single mold (see photo). The Aisin logo is a paint indicating its sourced from 3rd party. And yup, mine leaked because for apparent reason, I had a hard time shoving the waterpump rear to engine pipe outlet. When I got the GMB pump, it slid with reassuring right resistance. The belt hydraulic tensioner failed too after few days. The engine rattled at idle and I came across a youtube vid with same condition. I immediately swapped the old hydraulic tensioner just to confirm and lo and behold, the rattle sound is gone. I am ordering an OE hydraulic tensioner and Gates timing belt kit. I've opened my engine twice and I'm not doing it the 3rd time soon I won't gamble anymore with any in this kit. By the way, the bearings are not Koyo. They're PCH as shown in the photo. I can't believe I just threw almost $200 worth of parts because of sub-standard quality but bearing a name a top-notch brand.
