  • Good to go!

Let me first start by saying ..... I have a 2014 Mustang V6 3.7L 6 speed manual. I wanted to make it look better under the hood, I didn't want to tune after installation, I didn't want to void warranty, and did not want to end up with any engine codes. So the factory Ford air box is a cold air box so no need to get rid of it in my opinion, but you can improve things. First you need to disconnect the negative cable from your battery, that will help reset the ECM. Once you are done with the install, you can connect your negative cable to the battery. When you start the car for the first time after the install, it might take a few turns for it to start, it did for me, so don't freak out. Clamps were not an issue, you may have to open them up all the way and actually have them disconnected, much easier installation if you do it that way IMO. Everything installed just fine, since I drive a manual, I only had to connect the PCV valve hose and I plugged the second/smaller hole on the side of the AIRAID intake tube (kit comes with plug). I also installed a K&N drop in box/flat filter (same shape as the factory OEM, not a cone or anything fancy) and now I get that cold air intake sucking sound when I play with the gas pedal. I also have axle back muffler deletes (Hooker Blackheart w/o mufflers, straight pipes) and now my exhaust sounds a little deeper and my throttle response has improved slightly. Gas millage has improved by a mile or two I think but since the car breaths better, I drive it more spirited and that effects my MPG.... don't get me wrong, I don't drive crazy, but I do hold my gears and do slight pulls here and there. If you drive like keznanah and shift early and keep your foot out of it, I'm sure you will see better improvements.... but I digress. I would recommend this item obviously and if you don't like the AIRAID logo on the tube, you can stick a FORD emblem (medium size) over it and it looks nice and factory OEM.

  • Works well when pair with a Bama SCT Tune

Looks so much better than the factory tube with resonator box as seen in my photos. If you have a manual, it comes with a black plastic plug, but you can purchase a brass one from the hardware store to spice up the look and feel. This does well with a Bama SCT tune to give better throttle response, HP and a little MPG gain.

  • 2014 Mustang 3.7 V6

Paired with K&N filter in oem box. Ran filter upgrade alone... more growl maybe tiny improvements in mpg? Added airaid mit and noticed immediate improvement in throttle response. No more hesitation at launch even with traction control on.

  • Product well made and worth the money.

This is a great product, I can tell a gain in horse power and it also has great throttle response. It is a plus with my K&N filter and was very easy to install. I have a 73mm throttle body and it was a little tight to get on but it fit and works well. Would recommend it to anyone.
