Too floral and powdery
I purchased two of these bottles of Black Opium. They were both at department store prices, which was expensive as this site didn't really have a good price for either at the time. One was for a family member and one for the significant other. I routinely get to smell the one for my significant other, she originally thought wow that smells like chocolate and coffee. I think it smells like 1/2 old lady perfume. 1/2 coffee chocolate, to my nose it's too floral and powdery, I wish the coffee and chocolate notes were much more pronounced. I realized there had to be better perfumes out there that smelled like chocolate, coffee and vanilla combined. I've finally got my girl to stop wearing her black opium, as she's still in her 30's and I know she can smell better than Black Opium. Her new favorite is the Gwen Stefani Love sunshine kids harajuku tester, with Halee a close second. She just had to smell different perfumes to realize, I didn't push it on her, I just bought the different ones for her.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
