    Great fans and they actually keep refrigerator colder

    We have a Dometic 6 cubic foot refrigerator that the camper manufacturer had already installed a small fan half way up the back pointed up to bring in air at the bottom and out through the top and a baffle to direct the air up to the cooling fins. Even with the unit set on the max setting of 5 it struggled to keep everything cool and frozen. If it was a hot day or if the sun was hitting the back of the refrigerator then you could forget keeping anything cool or frozen. I installed these two fans at the top by the cooling fins so they would pull in air at the bottom and up through the cooling fins and out the top vent. I modified the current baffle to work with the new fans. The current fan is already on a 3 amp circuit with a thermostat so I just tapped into that circuit so all three fans come on together. Now at a setting of 3 the refrigerator stays at around 36 degrees and the freezer is at 8 degrees. Even on a hot day over 90 with the sun hitting the back of the refrigerator. We have now been in Florida for 3 days in July and the temperatures are hold good at 3. We have even been able to have ice cream stay frozen in the heat of the day. These fans work great and definitely keep the refrigerator running cooler and more efficient.

    Great product.

    Nice package that comes with 2 thermostats which are rated at a lower temp that factory. The factory one is too high and the lower temp allows the fan to start at a lower temp to increase fridge efficiency. Had a hard time to find a lower thermostat since dealer only goes by parts list. Nobody wants to make the extra effort to improve the system at dealership. Plus they wanted 90$ for a thermostat in Canada. Highway robbery.

    The fans are just the right size for our...

    The fans are just the right size for our 2016 Casita. The angle brackets too. I used both the provided thermostats, for redundancy, one for each fan. I also installed an on/off switch in case there is ever a time when I don't want them to go on. I glued in a small board to give them a more secure base than the ultra thin panel of fiberglass provided by Casita. I'll be in Arizona next month: if it's hot there, I'll find out if they help. Tested them with a heat gun. They are quiet.

    These fans are a must have for RV absorption refrigerators.

    Installed this cooling fan and a defrost fan on my 6 cubic foot Dominic 2654. Both fans use the same fuse 2 amp. The thermal switch for cooling is located at top vent and the defrost thermal switch is 4 inches from boiler. The fans are very well made and quiet. There was lots of time used up to make fan support brackets and where to locate things. I put a bypass switch on the cooling fan to turn it on. You will need to protect the wires with shrink tube and best to solder all wires together. I have not started up the refrigerator though all wires tested good, it should be ok. This is a design engineer project and will take some planning. I am sure my Dominic will perform much better now. I definitely recommend these fans. HH

    Exact fit for failed Norcold product

    I ordered the 2 fan set up plus thermostat. I had planned on using them as supplemental fans, and one I accessed the factory fan, I realized it was not working. I installed one of the 2 fans and replaced the thermostat. I plan on installing the second fan this week. The fan and thermostat were the exact size to replace the factory Norcold unit as advertised. Fridge is performing better, second fan should help improve it more.

    good install

    all received in good order .. MH is winterized right now so a pre test was done and worked fine ,,, will see this summer during hot seasonal temps .... then extension wire for the sw. could have been 6.5 feet long .... Had to make my own Added a disconnect plug and an override sw. to manually turn "ON".

    It does the job.

    Everything worked as promised. The fan is quiet and does a good job moving the air through the upper side vent on my camper trailer. My kit came with only one thermostat and no wire strippers, which was no big deal. There was enough hardware that I didn't need to come up with more. I did add a inline fuse on the positive wire.

    It works as promised

    Was a little bit of a job installing only because I have a 6 cubic foot refrigerator and freezer in a 19 foot trailer to say the least it's a very tight fit but it is in installed and working it's presently 92 degrees outside and my refrigerator is a beautiful 33 degrees very pleased thank you and I have already referred to people but this project upgrade

    quite fan works great

    I like the fan it works as it is supposed to. I had to use my own wires because there was not enough to go to the + side of the control box.For this set up you need about 4ft of positive wire other than that is is a good set up .the fan is quit and helped to drop the refrigerator temp about 20 * went from 50* down to 37on a couple of 90* days 'I left it on for two hot days the trailer was kept closed up and the inside temp of the trailer was 106* and the temp in the compartment where the fridge is was over a 100* so it worked great for two days after the install'.
