I can not put this FF down! It's fun and at times nostalgic for the life long FF player. Gameplay is great, Graphics are great, Story is between ok and good, Battle mechanics are great, Sound is Amazing (as played throughout the game is past FF scores). I like grinding through the involved detailed dungeons looking for and capturing mirages but there is way more to the game than that. Between the battle arena, the tea room, the mini games, and the story, there is plenty WOFF has to offer.

I'm a fan of turn-based combat and a little bit of structure to a game's story and actions. So, I've been enjoying this game quite a bit because it has turn-based battles that can be active time or wait. And this game has a story with very simplified maps, towns, and dungeons, resulting in a much less overwhelming feeling when I play it. You're able to focus on combat, story moments, and collecting/leveling your monsters. This is like the exact opposite of Final Fantasy XV. I like them both, but this one definitely is more relaxing to play. And the soundtrack is wonderful and nostalgic.

I thought it was going to be a kiddie game due to the chibi characters. Actually, you are only like that to "fit in" at a certain town and can switch at will. I prefer to walk around normal size and tower over the little people. There's always a look of surprise and amazement when they see you! Being from different worlds, they think your kind is nothing more than myth. Your size (as well as a few other things) comes into play before you enter battles. You'll have to play it to figure out how/why. I've never been let down by anything Square, and that all rings true with this game!

Has alot of similarities to a pokemon game. You go around the world fighting monsters that are called mirages and you can capture them to use in battle. Pretty entertaining and you can also turn into a chibi which is adorable.

I got into ps vita gaming last month. And I have to say this game was the reason for this. I love the FF franchise, but the more recent games have been a let down for me. But this one goes back to the roots of FF. The feel of the game just gave me nostalgia. Just give this game a try and you won't regret it.
