Let me first make clear that I LOVE Patricia Cornwell's honest, gut clenching, "makes you feel like you're right there next to Kay in the dirt" novels. I own and have read and reread each. That is, locially, why this book was ripped off the shelf by me. Now it is just ripped. Did Ms. Cornwell fall and hit her head? My four year old tells less convoluted stories than this one and he has a lisp. I am pretty sure that the reader is supposed to be kept in suspense as to HOW all the wacky and completely unrelated story line are INDEED related, but I must confess...by the time I got to Chapter Five, I no longer even cared. I felt stuck in the checkout line behind a long-winded gossip monger. "Escape" was my only clear thought. Get Well Wishes to Ms. Cornwell!! I still love you!
Craziest of Cornwell’s books. Fun time!

Great book, also a great writer. This book allows you to get away from the day to day reality. I would recomend this book.
