As usual, the girls get forgotten!
Ever since the very early days of both Rock'n'Roll and Rockabilly, there has been great music from the girls but it always gets forgot. Its about time this was rectified, and hopefully this CD set is the start of that! 3 CDs of some of the best rocking music ever to make it to record ( yes, they were all originally records!) And all of it, Rock'n'Roll, Rockabilly and Rhythm and Blues, is from WOMEN ( gasp!) singers, just proving that they're as good as the best of the rest.

Good & Rare Music, but sound quality is useless
The music is top notch, even though most of it is country music and not rockabilly. This is one of those Made In The E.U. CDs where sound quality it tossed completely out the window. Many songs are taken from poor quality vinyl rather than master tapes. And by the sounds of it all, the person who did the mastering needs a new needle for their turntable as well. The music is mostly mastered too loud, so that it's is distorted. Overall the sound is very tinny. No bottom end and obviously mastered from poor quality vinyl. A shame because these songs by these artists deserves a proper release as there are a few rare gems in the mix. It's a shame that it's about 80-90% unlistenable because of the horrible sound quality. As a rule I warn people to beware of ANY cd produced in the E.U. I've even bought CDs with songs that are not only made from vinyl, but some of the songs have flaws in them like "skipping". I suggest seeking out other releases. Typically sound quality is good or great if you can find such music which is Made in The U.S.A., Canada, The U.K., even Mexico.

Great Rockin Compilation
Ok, not all of it is Rockabilly, the inclusion of RnB artists, stretches the boundaries somewhat, but a 'Rockin' Female Compilation of this magnitude, would be harder to find. Highly recommended. Kav Kavanagh.
