Pull Chain switch appears to be very good but time will tell. One of the pull chain knobs was bad. Part of it was missing and someone put filler on it which did not help. Just made it look worse! Other than that, only used one pull chain switch so have a spare now less knob. I am using this in a RV, 12vdc system so should last a considerable time.

This is a good quality switch. But the ferrule (the knurled nut that holds it on) has a lip inside. This lip catches the chain if the switch is mounted with the chain out sideways. I used a small rat tail file (chainsaw file) to notch the lip where the chain catches. It now works perfectly.

You get 2 switches for less than price of 1 at home improvement store, same quality, however, can't figure out how to install wooden pull onto chain.

If you pull the chain out in a horizontal direction you will have absolutely no difficulty, However if you need to pull the chain downward vertically it will hang up on the decorative brass spin locking nut. Being that its a light switch most people will pull on it in a downward direction, and have a problem. This is just to let you know. I have no issues with the switch itself, its easy to install and seems to be of good quality. And it arrived ahead of schedule.
