Out of the box, these come with standard yellow springs. Which for my Outcast 4s, are not firm enough to keep the truck off the ground. I contacted Proline, and they were nice enough to send me the firmer red springs for testing. When I received them, the were better, but still don't quite stop the truck from bottoming out from landings over say 2ft; Which isn't great. Since I have put 60wt oil in the front and 50wt in the back to try to compensate for the springs lack of strength. I am still under sprung however. If you end up getting these, be prepared to upgrade to a stiffer aftermarket spring (Proline doesn't make any firmer than red) and lots a tinkering before you find what works for your setup. Out of the box just doesn't cut it. And for roughly $65 each pair, I am very underwhelmed. Read full review

These shocks were specifically designed for the Typhon 3S, and they fit like a glove. As is usually the case with Pro-line products, the quality of these PowerStroke shocks is great. The bore of the shock cylinder is substantially larger than the bore on the stock shocks; the shafts are larger in diameter; and the entire shock cylinder is aluminum, including the cap. Once installed, the Pro-line PowerStroke shocks give a mean appearance to the Typhon 3S. Put in whatever weight of shock oil you choose and you will have a great experience.
