nice little grill
I have the bigger infrared grill which I love and needed to replace my on the go grill so purchased this one even after reading the reviews. I found this grill to be a good cooking devise but it is not without its issues. I like the set up but the sparking devise to ignite the burner is worthless because the regulator / burner orifice is to large causing the propane in the burner tube to blow by so fast the air to fuel mixture is not close enough for the igniter to light the burner. I just used a regular grill lighter to light the burner through the provided hole in the end of the grill but not what I would like. The other reviews claim that the grill burns to hot and will not adjust down in temp well enough and I will agree with this claim as again the to large orifice is letting to much gas out and even on the lowest setting it still buries the temp gauge on the high side and blows by the ports close to the igniter. I feel this is a simple design issue that could be corrected and intend to pursue a correction with the manufacturer but have not done so yet. Even with the high temp I did not have any issue with grilling on the grill and am a huge fan of the no flair up feature so as long as you are prepared for the lighting inconvenience and high temperature this is a great little grill. Wish it came with a case that would fit the regulator tube and propane bottles inside the grill for travel purpose.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Surprisingly bad for a somewhat pricey item
During my first use the grill was a fast cooker although the temperature was mostly on the high side and almost uncontrollable with the cover closed. But during my second use the next week the gas regulator went full blast even when closed. This is definitely a fire hazard. It no longer regulates the gas and seem to have stuck in the full open position. What a waste of money. Go buy something else.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great grill for the RV or tailgating
Just broke in my X200 this weekend. After the burnoff, and then seasoning the grill, I started with some chicken breasts. They stuck to the grate a little, but cooked pretty quick (about 15 minutes), and were just as juicy as could be. Hamburgers were next (80% lean, frozen 1/4 lb patties) took about 10-12 minutes and came out delicious. On both occasions, searing the meat on high (about 600), and cooking it on low (about 400) made for a perfect meal. The only issue I had was a small flare up with the burgers, and the aforementioned sticky breasts. The regulator operated great and stayed at a steady 400 degrees with the lid closed. Clean up was pretty easy, but I would suggest using foil in the drip pan prior to getting started. Overall great grill for the RV.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Well built but minimum heat is way too hot for anything but steaks
This grill is very well put together with one noticeable exception: the regulator valve lets way too much propane even in its lowest position. Don't think that connecting it to a 20lb propane tank and using the valve at the regulator will solve this problem. The lowest temperature you can get on this unit is around 500F, which is great for steaks and things that need searing, but way too hot for just about anything else. A quick search on the internet revealed that many had encoutered the exact same problem. Some people have resolved the issue by swapping the regulator with a betterr one or by inserting a controlled valve prior to the regulator to cut down the flow of propane. I will be trying something iike this soon as I really like the grill otherwise for my RV and camping escapades. If you are not handy, just take this to a store that specializes in grills and someone will help you with what is needed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great gill, terrible packaging.
Fast shipping and low price. Love this Grill. It’s my 4th one. Little to no flare ups while cooking. Compact size makes it great for camping. I would have given 5 stars were it not for the terrible packaging that it was shipped in (or lack of packaging, picture attached). Also the thermometer on the top was missing (lost in transit) but I had one from the grill I was replacing.

Only cooks on extreme high heat.
Gave only 3 stars to grill. Even though many reviews on this grill have all disliked the heat regulator, I ordered the grill hoping by this time it had been addressed. Not so. When you try to do the "Perfect Burger" as in your recipe book, it is impossible to not burn the burger up without constantly flipping over. Turning heat regulator clear down does not reduce the heat. Why don't you offer a decent regulator on this $150.00 grill? Also grill itself is very difficult to clean. Will keep it as for traveling with a Motor home it is a very nice unit. If you ever correct the heat regulator, I will be in line to buy a new one and you should offer them at a very reasonable price. Well made not great for grilling
