The complete line of Pacific Drum parts and accessories are designed for every drummer. Whether you’re gearing up for your next big gig or your next rehearsal, PDP offers a cost-conscious alternative to players of every musical genre and skill level. And PDP think more drummers with better gear is a beautiful thing. .
Fantastic product, fits Remo 12" x 24" Kintekloth Djembe with SkynDeep Head perfectly with no skinned knuckles.
I have a Remo Key-tuned Kintekloth 12" x 24" Djembe. Although it has a very tall head, being a SkynDeep Head. This key not only fits with about a quarter-inch of clearance; but it turns very easily without skinning the fingers (as I had feared might happen).
The drum came only with a long, flat wrench. You'd think that at the price they charge for a Remo with a SkynDeep head that they would also include with it one of these amazing drum keys.
I have included a couple photos showing how much room the key still has after it has been tightened-down as tight as you can tighten it.
Oh well. I have it now. I would recommend it to anybody. It makes much more sense than having a black one, which is very difficult to see.
The vinyl grip is a really cool idea taken from the parent line of DW. DW has long made a high torque key with a black vinyl grip for giving the user a nice comfortable feel while tuning drums. This grip is super useful when tuning marching drums that require very high torque. The new PDP in Yellow adds to this line but helps with finding the key quickly with the yellow high visibility. I like the key alot and recommend a DW clamp on key holder for your hi-hat stand to keep the key right there for quick on the spot adjustments. Check my photos to see my keys with enhancements and the DW clamp on key holder. You can probably pick up the keys at Sweet Water like I did.
