They do as advertised.
They cover the unused portion of the rail but are too bulky for my purpose.. When using the heat guard as a grip point they just are in the way. They do cover and protect the sharp edges of the picatinny rail. Over all, for me, I don't find them attractive and they make the guard too big.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

These rail covers feel great in your hand and are very grippy, making it easier to hold on target. They are much easier to install and remove than ladder covers, and are very reasonably priced.
