Smells Like Burning
It took about 24 hours before this receptacle was toast. I think the thin gauge of the copper caused too high of resistance and it all just burned up. It was also really hard to get the burner prongs into the receptacle to begin with; maybe that had something to do with it. In the end I grabbed the more expensive part from the hardware store and that seems to be doing much better.
