If you are using the magnetic pickup input (green and violet wires) to trigger your MSD Ignition, you will need the PN 8920 Tach Adapter. This Adapter should also be used on current-triggered tachs (hooked in series with the ignition switch).

MSD Tach Adapter
Getting the correct one wasn’t easy, but the right one eventually came and it works well on my 70 Challenger with MSD electronic ignition. I wish suppliers offered a delivery choice, sometimes it’s the small bits holding up finishing big builds.

Works great to allow using your factory dash tachometer with a digital MSD ignition box. Can't give it five stars because even though it is built by MSD to connect to an MSD ignition box, the installed connectors were the opposite of what was needed to connect the two together.
