Though I haven't really had a lot of time to check it out....
I really like the fact that this machine is much lighter weight and much thinner than my old Toshiba that I've literally had for around 10 years. I figured if I got that much time out of it that this one could only be better even if it only gives me half that much time. The cost was a huge factor in my purchase.

Faster but not as good
I just said goodbye to a Toshiba Satellite A665 for this faster model. It IS faster, but there are three things that are definitely steps down: 1. No backlit keyboard (I thought as a touch typist that didn't matter. Wrong.) 2. The Skull Candy speakers are not as good as the Harmon Kardons on the A665. 3. The front edge of the laptop is an angle whereas the old edge is curved. It's not as comfortable. I'm disappointed in all of these things, but I'm stuck with it for about five years.
