I was looking at this for quick cleanup for dog hairs and dirt with three dogs. My daughter bought the one made for dog hair pickup, and swore by it but I was unsure. I really like it because it is very handy andIi am still amazed that with three dogs, the amount of dirt and hair it picks up with multiple uses per day each and every time. I have a hard wood floor and like to walk around barefoot. This helps a whole lot. Very quick. Good price for the money, so far charges just fine. Had it now for about a month or so. For me, I need to run it on the high mode of the low and high most of the time which diminishes the vacuum time on the charge but even then it lasts for about 15 minutes which is all I need. I am just amazed that I get a canister full each time the dogs come in and out. Swivels very nicely, not too loud, empties great and very washable. Brush pulls out with a simple turn and twist of an end nob. If this holds up, I will purchase another for upstairs and something stronger for carpets, although this works very well on surface carpets. Very, very pleased with this vacuum. I am nearly a believer in this new technology. I recommend it or the one my daughter has for pet hair and all. You can find one specifically made for picking up dog dirt and hair, but didn't want to invest in that just yet. And its kind of fun to use:)Read full review

I was very excited to get a Dyson product, having heard such good things about them. I wanted the cordless version for ease of use and convenience, however that is not what I got. The design is awkward and sometimes sticks in a hanging position and you have to wrestle with it to get the carpet attachment in the correct position to work. The carpet attachment, which is supposed to sweep floors as well doesn't height adjust so when I broke a crystal wine glass during a recent move, after picking up the larger pieces the Dyson would not get up the rest. (Apparently nothing beats a broom and dustpan). It does fine on my carpets but I truly wanted something that I could grab that would sweep and vacuum; this is not that. The emptying process is easy enough but I despise when I bump the button to empty and then have to vacuum again everything I have just cleaned. As the title says, its ok. But I am probably going to look for another vacuum and buy a new broom.Read full review

I got this because eBay and the seller(Dyson outlet) were having a great promotion. I was pleasantly surprised by the sleek design; a new toy for me in a long time! The suction power is great and charges fully in 3 and a half hours. It is great on hard floor but it does say in the booklet that it may cause some fuzz on carpet and I do believe so. The only downside, like other bagless vacuum cleaners(this is my first Dyson, but not my first bagless vacuum cleaner), the dust doesn't just fall out of the dust can. You need another vacuum cleaner to get the dust out after some has fallen out of it. I guess I can live with it since it is so compact and powerful and the cordless feature is great. Since the power lasts for 20 min only(and it really doesn't lose the suction power during that duration of time), you may want to prepare the area, like picking up things and straightening up the place before hand. I gave 4 stars because I look forward to using this again and again, but not the emptying the can part. *My previous vacuum cleaner was a Miele canister.Read full review

I really like this device, but I have two dogs and my floors are 75% carpet, so the dust/waste container on this vacuum is too small for my needs. It works really well, but it shuts off every 5 minutes when the dust bin gets full of dog hair. I have to get a sharp object to dig the compacted dog hair out of the waste bin and then continue to vacuum. I have to repeat every 5 minutes. If I had known this, I would have purchased a full size corded vacuum instead.

First off, say goodbye to cords being wrapped around objects and your legs since this vacuum is wireless battery charged. Additionally, in the first few minutes of using it the dyson sucked in alot of dirt and hair from carpet and floor alike. Im telling this is the best investment for your house you can make. You would not regret anything.

I got this to replace my Dustbuster hand held because I was tired of bending over and needed more power. Now the V6 cordless is so easy to use any time it all. I still need my old canister vac for some heavy duty stuff, but I hardly ever get it out as I am able to keep things spiffed up on a much more regular basis with the V6. I have two cats and it does a great job with cat hair. My long hair is more of a problem, but the brush bar is easier to clean than any other I have ever encountered.

What I like most about the Dyson "Cordless" is that I do not have to be constantly untangling or moving a cord around furniture and changing a plug to another outlet to be able to reach all areas of the floor. And because it is cordless, the Dyson vacuum it goes almost anywhere easily. Vacuuming takes me half the time it used to take and I access more areas. The suction is adequate. Emptying the Dyson is super easy. However, I do wish the battery stayed charged a bit longer. And I would offer this one suggestion. It is difficult for my arthritic hands to hold the switch in the "on" position all the time. If possible, a switch that made the vacuum stay on (similar to the ones on leaf blowers) would help. All in all, the Dyson Cordless was well worth the price.

Emptying is easy. But to thoroughly clean inside the clear plastic bin is quite a hassle. Also due to the small clearance between the floor and the motorhead any small pellet sized objects does not get sucked in. Have to lift up the motorhead to get it sucked in. Apart from these minor things it is pretty light and very convenient for everyday use.

I have never had a Dyson before but I know people who swear by them. I wanted to try this one because of the versatility of being able to take it out to my car as a hand vac and be able to do my steps more easily than with my heavier upright Bissell. It seems to be doing a good job at this except it will sometimes run out of charge in the middle of doing something and I have to stop and recharge it. I was also a little annoyed that there was no hardware (package of screws) included in the shipping box to hang the unit up, just the plastic thingy. I am enjoying the ease of emptying the little dust canister.

I bought this vacuum to use in my motorhome. I gets into tight places much better than the previous vacuum I was using. It has the power I need. I think this might be good for a small apartment too. Its one fault is it needs charging after a rather short time, so I don't recommend it for typical use in an average-sized home. It is light-weight and agile, if it had more lasting power I probably would buy one for my home too.
