An excellent history of ISIS
A beacon within a muddled wave of sensationalist ISIS books, Gerges has done the best job at tackling the feat of explaining the ISIS terrorist phenomenon. With excellent research, a compelling narrative and a very nuanced viewpoint, he has provided an excellent sourcebook for scholars, policy professionals and lay readers alike.
