Full disclaimer: I'm a long-time TEDx organizer and a speech coach and trainer - which means I love TED. I had high expectations for the book and they delivered. It is an insightful, thorough, both strategic and tactical perspective from their front row seats on why and how TED talks work and work so well. I tagged at least 20 pages for future reference and do believe this should be required reading for well, everyone. I'm not going to re-hash the contents (others have done that well here), BUT - I would highly recommend reading chapter 19 first. Chris always puts the content and speakers ahead of himself, and this book is no different. But his "reflections" are what give you grounding and understanding as to how and why he came to this dance, why everyone should want to be at the dance, and what gives him such immense license to write this book with such expertise, authority and grace.Read full review
