This is the best TV I've ever seen. It has gotten high reviews from CNET and others on the internet. I have looked at this TV in store displays and it looked great (store demos usually look pretty good). Once I got it set up, I was dazzled by the clarity of the picture with standard DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and 4K UHD discs. Some of that is dependent on the up-convert qualities of the player or receiver in your system, but I have never seen such a sharp picture. The picture at home was much better than the store demos. Contrast is outstanding and the blacks are pure black. Streaming video is equally excellent. This TV cost more than a standard LED TV, but it was worth every penny. I have not found anything about this set that I don't like. If you demand the best picture, this is the set for you.Read full review

Replaced a 7 year old LG 50 inch plasma that developed vertical lines at one of the PDP ribbon cables. Since a replacement PDP was not available I had to make a decision regarding the best alternative to plasma. I hate LCD panels with a serious passion, so I was apprehensive purchasing an OLED due to the similarities in operation. My main requirement was for quality motion, since I am very sensitive to motion blur and pixel breakup during fast scenes. Plasma is extremely good at motion and everything was liquid smooth on the previous 50 inch. Standard definition television was improved with the plasma as well due to the technology being all around better at most everything except brightness compared to LCDs. After much consideration and research I determined the OLED would be an acceptable substitute. I received the OLED TV and immediately was impressed by the increase in size, which in itself was a great upgrade. I set it up and hung it on my existing entertainment center mount instead of using the stand. The mounting points are setup to the VESA standard on the 2016 LG OLEDs, so no need for a particular LG specific mount like the 2015 models. The mounting points on the B6 are quite low, so consider your current television's height placement in relation to the ceiling or anything above it as it will likely be at least 6 inches higher at the mount points than your current set. I put my mounting brackets on their lowest setting and the bottom of the TV is still 4 inches higher than the 50 inch it replaced. Overall not a huge deal, but take it into consideration. Out of the box, the initial set-up was easy, and I had it running within about 10 minutes. The 'magic' remote is interesting, and it does make some functions a little easier. It does however take some getting used to. If you point the remote off screen the cursor stays at the edge of the screen and moving the remote instantly moves the cursor such that you end up pointing at the wall while trying to get the cursor to the on screen buttons. moving the remote off the other side of the screen will help get the cursor back to center where you are pointing. It is a little frustrating, but not terrible. Alright, on to the picture quality! The different selections for color calibration yield varying results. My previous experience with LG is that the preset picture modes are anything but ideal. This proved true on the OLED, with most of the setting either being too blue or too green. However, a small amount of tweaking yielded fantastic colors. I have no doubt given the right calibration equipment that the colors could be even better, but for my tastes at this point they are spectacular. I was pleasantly surprised by the motion interpolation. While not quite a good as the plasma, scenes of intense action such as the final battle in Transformers 1 were very easy to watch. Hundreds of tiny robot parts moving on screen were easily distinguishable and exhibited no real blur or artifacts. Landscape panning has some judder, which I am attempting to solve but am currently unable to access the trumotion settings which I believe is related to which input setting I have selected. All in all, the set is a worthy replacement for a stunning plasma display, which is all I had hoped for when I realized the plasma could not be fixed. I have given it 5 stars, though I would have to give it a 4.5-4.75 as it is not perfect, but quite close. I still have some set-up to get it even better, but I am satisfied at this point.Read full review

Buy this OLED TV if you have a wide seating area, period! Today, in 2017, the best 65" picture quality boils down to the Samsung Q, Sony OLED and LG OLED TVs. We have a large seating area that is 16' wide and 14' away from where the screen is mounted. I took a tape measure and viewed all three model lines at my local store. The Samsung Q has the brightest picture, but the picture is washed out at the widest ends of our seating area. The Samsung Q series is very expensive as well and are not really OLED TVs. The Sonys and LGs are great for wide angle viewing, but the 2016 LG 65B6P has a wider viewing angle and is over $1,500 less expensive than the current Sonys and 2017 LG OLEDs (which don't have a better picture). We bought the LG and could not be happier! Our room is south-facing and gets lots of light, there is no problem with having a bright enough picture. Great TVRead full review

I bought this tv after hours of research and I was not disappointed. The picture is the best I have ever seen including plasma TVs. It was fairly easy to set up including the magic remote. The cost was almost $400.00 cheaper than anywhere else online or in stores but definitely not a cheap tv. The standard shipping was slower than I really expected but it was delivered in the time frame they provided. If you want the best picture and a tv that will be excellent in the future this is your tv.

The resolution & definition of this OLED TV lives up to its now established reputation. Purity of color is another real plus on a screen of this size. I was also extremely pleased with the ease with which the viewer can navigate the many features offered through the use of the remote control....It's not rocket science, and a beautiful end result is easy to attain. The only slight downside is that the local cable company cannot provide a signal that will allow the full HD experience that this beautiful screen is fully capable of. Someday they may catch up, but there are other sources for video available, so all is not lost! I'm so glad that LG hung in there with the OLED technology....keep leading and others will have to follow!

This really is the best TV you can buy right now, with the exception of the newer 2017 OLEDs. You can find these for a much better price, and the quality is not noticeably different. Trying to watch anything on ANY LED/LCD TV becomes very difficult after buying this - everything looks washed out due to poor (relative) contrast ratios. Only the brightest, 4k HDR scenes even look comparable on an LED TV compared to this. For anything that has remotely dark scenes, OLED just can't be beat.

The Good great Picture quality. Smart features are easy to use. WI style point and click on screen pointer makes data entry easier. The only bad would be the price... Not sure the picture is enough better to justify the extra $1000 it cost over a Samsung 4K .. So value got bad mark...

Easy to set up right from the box. The picture was as I imagined it would be. The blacks render all colors vividly. The only complaint would be the apps in the smart section of the tv. No Hbo go, not even through the internet. I hooked up my roku box in order to get it. Very pleased otherwise.

Very please with quality of TV, it's picture is clear as to be able to read the fine print 25' across the room. Good quality picture in bright room. The price is my only complaint.

Very hesitant to purchase a TV online but this transaction went rather smoothly and the TV itself is as good as you possible can get. We love our purchase and the price was better than any other place. Do not hesitate to purchase this TV it is an excellent value.
