Excellent, effective, and carefree suspension upgrade!
These progressive rubber springs are designed to get more resistant as you add load to your vehicle. They improve handling by reducing side sway and rear end sag yet have no effect on the factory ride when you are running without a load. They install easily in the position of the factory bump stops. In most cases they can be installed in well less than an hour. After install they require no maintenance. They are a great alternative to air bag suspensions that require a much more involved installation as well as as access to a compressor (or expensive on-board compressor systems) to inflate the bags. The Timbren suspension enhancement system also cost about a third less than entry- level air bag systems too. They have a wide ranging fitment for a variety of vans, SUV's, and of course most any pickups. If you have to haul a load, be it a wheelchair ramp, or garden supplies, or a large load of hay, Timbren likely makes a system that will work for you. Excellent alternative to more expensive airbags. Work as described.
Excellent product. Left side easy to mount. The right side was a nightmare. With the frame on the passenger side, you have to put a long socket into the timbren and tighten it up on to the bracket. Unlike the other side that you mount the timbren onto the bracket and place in place. Once installed, they work like a champ. Absorb the extra weight placed into the truck. Beats the bags
I had ongoing problems with the airbags so I ditched them for these and am completely satisfied. For whatever reason installation on the passenger side was a bit difficult, but that is the only small complaint. Truck still sits fairly level and the ride while towing is the same.
