I bought this unit to upgrade my e7440, It has several improvements such as a better on/off button. The i5 processor is a quad version and well suited for my general and specific needs. I added a second 8gb memory and with a dual channel memory path, the performance is greatly improved. It took several hours to upgrade the Win 10 Pro version, as it appears this unit was either reloaded with an old restore disk, or simply was not use for at least one year. It was very fair priced for a used laptop and I am truly pleased with its overall performance. Now to get the ownership and warrantee transferred at Dell, that may be a problem.

Dell has had what I'd call a rocky history with their small form factor business models. Some would burn the touchpad internally, some would have poor build quality, and some would melt their own speakers. In build quality: this unit feels... cheap. Performance, it's exactly as expected, Depending on the chip the performance varies wildly (i3 4005 - i7-5600) At it's worst it's sluggish but manageable, at it's best I'd call it a pseudo gaming laptop. Screen quality: Can only comment on matte, the color quality and brightness are above average. Audio quality... meh, due to it's build material it's as expected has some pitch errors on certain notes. Keyboard: Biased... I love the keyboard, it's like they just ripped it from Lenovo and removed the track point. Camera: 720p, had minor hiccups initially but is as expected. HDD: Cannot rate. I cloned the OS to an ssd day 1 and never looked back.Read full review

Google "Latitude E7450 Freeze" before you buy this computer. I inherited an out of warranty one at work that was headed to the scrapper after IT and Dell service gave up on it. It took MONTHS to resolve the boot, freezing and overheating problem. Everything checked out on diagnostics, but, the system would fail to boot the first three times, then it would freeze on boot, or, let me log in and freeze, drop the wifi and freeze and overheat. I got keyboard, thermal and battery errors and replaced the heat sink, battery and keyboard with no success. It turns out that this is a VERY common issue with corporate users who HATE these things. In my case, it turned out that the internal PCI-E modem was failing to reliably load and initialize and the system would try dozens of times during a session to load the driver which overheated the cpu. It could very well be that the connection to the mobo was bad, so, I just ordered a $17 USB modem from Amazon. After three months and several tear downs and blasts from the "parts cannon" I finally have a working laptop.Read full review
