Upgrading HP Compa1 V6000 Laptop Hard Dive
I received this old laptop from a friend and decided to upgrade it to see how far I could take it. The last thing was to install a SSD to see if boot up was faster. So I searched for a SSD and found this one, with free shipping and, to me, a great price. It arrived ahead of time which was nice. fter a few moments of looking it over, I installed it. I removed the SATA drive adapter from eth rotating drive interface and put it on the SATA SSD drive. Then installed it into the laptop. I booted the system and it recognized the drive without issues. I then installed WIN 7.1 Pro and subsequently upgraded to Win 10 Pro (free, of course!). I can now get to a useable screen with this old dog in about 40 seconds and this with only 2 GB of RAM and an AMD SEMPRON cpu. Like I said, old, but now working pretty dang good! I can certainly recommend the SanDisk SSD for projects like this, no issues at all for me! I am certain that anyone who can use a screw driver could also install one of their own in their old dog as well!.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
