Good remote with Roku function
I bought this remote mainly because it has a Roku function. It does have all the functionality of the OEM Roku but you can use for normal day to day activities. You will have to experiment to find the keys that work with the Roku. The remote will handle 10 total devices. The battery life is good. It is easy to program if you follow the instructions. I bought two customer returns who looked they could program it. The only negative I have with the remote is that is difficult to useit in low light situations. Control some items out the box
I Think i made a good choice with this as out the box it could already control my Sony reciever HT-C550W with out any codes to enter. The same with Sony DVD recorder RGR_GX7, CD/DVD player CD670D, Sony 200 disc DVD player DVP-CX850D. I tried several codes to get my Samsung 50 inch plasma to work with this remote. None worked until I used the 5 digit code that the remotes support page shows. SO 3 and 4 digit codes did not work for Samsung. as far as universal remotes go, Sony makes a very good one for the price. You could get a better remote if your willing to throw down $100 or more on a Logitech remote, but honestly I have two different logitech remotes and I use this one more often because the buttons on the logitech remotes tend to stop working after a while. Best and cheap sony universal remote control
I recieved the remote control and worked. No program required. Worked with my xbr55x850c sony led 4k android tv. Also worked with my HT-ST5000 SONY sound bar system. Also no program required it was pre-set from the Sony. Very happy with the remote control. My wife couldn't believe it. Thanks again sony. And the seller for a good price .
