Because we live in Maryland, I went to Keyless Express in person. I learned from Hyundai dealers the correct key fob part # and got estimates from 4 Hyundai dealers for the part and encoding. Estimates ranged from $317 to $412. At Keyless, the remote (I still had the metal key) was purchased and encoded for $188 including tax. The process took under 30 minutes, and the man doing the work was efficient and pleasant to work with. I had my husband's working remote key fob along. So even if you just buy the part and must have it encoded elsewhere, I can attest that the part I received could be activated, which my dealer had told me is not always the case with online purchased smart keys.

Brought it to a Hundai dealer and they programmed it and it works great!! Did need to go to a hundai dealer though as they have a pass code that they do not give out to any other dealer or lock smith. The hundai dealership had the same charge to program as the locksmith and other dealership quoted:)

Worked very well. Just don't go to your dealer for programming the key. Call a locksmith.
