About this product

Product Information

Eight-time National Chess Champion Josh Waitzkin headlines this chess title from Ubisoft. Multiple lessons taken from Waitzkin's book, "The Art of Learning," are designed to introduce new players to the world of chess, with helpful advice and comments appearing on the top screen. The PSP version also includes six chess themed mini-games, each offering 20 levels and dedicated high-score tables. In "Minefield," players use chess pieces to find hidden mines located on the board, while "Breaking the Lines" involves moving a knight to capture pawns. Wireless support is included with a choice of chess variants. "Dark Chess," for example, renders the opponent's pieces invisible, whereas "Extinction Chess" involves capturing all pieces on the board.
