Sony's exclusive baseball series makes its PS4 debut with quicker games, a new Online Franchise mode, and a year-to-year saves feature in MLB 14: The Show. The signature Road to the Show mode returns with more logical approach to the game's RPG-like advancement process, and a new pre-draft showcase lets prospects square off before they begin their professional careers. New optional features were designed to speed up games, with Quick Counts beginning each at-bat after several pitches have been thrown, and the Player Lock system asking gamers to control only a single player.<br><br>The popular Franchise mode returns to once again let gamers control every aspect of their favorite team's operations, and MLB 14 takes the mode online for the first time. The Online Franchise mode lets a group of players control scouting, drafting, trades and free agency for multiple teams within the same universe, and gamers can even create custom divisions, schedules, and playoff options. The Diamond Dynasty mode has been updated to let custom teams compete even when users are offline, and the new Community Challenges feature lets gamers design custom game scenarios, set specific goals, and then share their creations with others.<br><br>Playing games in any mode helps players accumulate The Show's new Stubs currency, which can be used to acquire extra in-game content like Road to the Show training points. Gamers who want to get a leg up on the competition can also purchase Stubs from the PlayStation Store. A new dynamic difficulty system was designed to adjust the challenge level based on overall performance, and it has separate hitting and pitching settings for those who struggle or excel in one area. The broadcast team of Matt Vasgersian, Eric Karros, and Steve Lyons returns for its second year of commentary together, and for the first time in the history of the series, MLB 14 supports year-to-year saves, so players can import their Road to the Show and Franchise date into subsequent releases.Product Identifiers

What I feel it needed.
I enjoy the game. I also have The Show 15 & 16. Which I look forward to playing when I go to advance to the next season. The problems that I did find on the game is as follows. When on base if the pitcher tries to pick you off and you make it back safe you earn no points. But if he picks you off you lose points. Also when you are playing as a pitcher sometimes it doesn't give you credit for a hit or any points for it. Well since points is what you need to increase your players attributes. It does not help if it does not give you the points. If you play as a catcher and the pitch is in the dirt and you block it but it doesn't stay in your glove you lose points. I feel that you should earn at least 1 or 2 points for keeping the ball from going past you. Now if you let a ball get past you that you should have fielded then take 3 to 5 points away. Also when runners are on first and second with less then 2 outs. As an infielder, lets say first baseman. A hard hit ball goes to you and you have a chance to get the runner moving from 2nd to 3rd. It gives you an infield assist. But then takes points for bad throw decision. Either throw to 2nd or 3rd is the right choice. You may have seen that the runner that hit the ball has a high speed rating. So there was no chance to turn the double play. So you chose to force the other team to get a hit instead of a fly ball or ground ball to score that run. Also why doesn't the character you are playing giving the chance to attempt to steal very often. I have a player with a speed rating of 78. Has never been given the steal sign or even a hit and run sign. That is just a few bugs in the system I have noted. Don't get me wrong I love the game. It is as close to realistic as you can get. I know people can't think of everything that could happen on a field or every thing you could have that player do. So overall I still give it 5 stars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
