My wife and I enjoyed this game as much as we enjoyed watching our 8 yr old play it. It took him 14 hours while my wife and I, somewhat avid gamers, finished the bare bones game in 9hrs. We added another 7hrs just playing the attractions within the game so we could get the rest of the characters! As soon as we finished, we ordered Poke Park 2. This game is E-A-S-Y to pick up and play for 10min up to 2hrs at a time. It does get repetitive, but we still as a family thoroughly enjoyed it. Our son loves Pokemon and this will be a game I'm sure he'll play again. The graphics are standard fare for an early Wii game. The story is ridiculous, but it's Pokemon. There are no trainers, no real battling (like in the standard games). There is no leveling up. In fact everything you need to beat the game you have when you start. You can power up Pikachu is many ways (which our son had to do) but if you are conserving berries, the only thing you MUST do is make him faster. Every other challenge can be won without increasing HP, Iron Tail or the thunderbolt attacks. Highly Recommend for 8-10yr old fans and there parents who like me (where teens when Pokemon landed in the US 20 years ago)Read full review

My 9 year old likes it but when purchasing know that even though pokepark wii is compatable with a wii u console, it might be better just to download from Google play significantly cheaper. Our problem is our wii u sensor died and without the sensor you can't play it on the big screen. My daughter played it hooked up ie wired to the game pad but it has to be wired in so she sits on a pillow in front of it by the big tv to see the little screen. Just be aware compatability doesn't mean accessibility if your sensor isn't working. Also they do sell pokepark wii u so I reccommend buying the designed one for your console even when they say it's both reverse compatable.

We are a PokéFamily with a 6 year old and an 8 year old. The game is appropriate for their level of play. The premis is cute, save the PokePark by meeting Pokémon and making friends. A little text heavy considering my kids don't really read English on their own yet.

I love PokéPark! It is so nostalgic for me. I do find the gameplay of this to be more compelling then PokéPark 2 because the mini games are more entertaining and the plot is interesting.

I got this for my daughter instead o springing for the $400 Switch plus the new Pokémon game. Pokepark is engaging with a mix of battles, skill games, and little puzzles to solve, so I saved $370 over a new switch and she’s perfectly happy!
