This tailpiece is a nice value, especially for the "inbetweeners" in body size and thickness that semi-hollow bodied guitars can be. While it may not be the best materials and construction, it's certainly comparable to the many "vintage" tailpieces from Kay and other manufacturers that can command much higher prices on ebay. All in all, a good affordable alternative to paying more for an aged one (of just about the same quality), or if you're not sure it will fit your size/knob/bridge requirements.

Structurally the part is good but the black finish flaked off in places the first day and wasnt completely painted all over in the first place. I think they put paint over chrome so it doesnt stick well. They should have black-chromed it or powder coated?

Give yer guitar some retro style. I fitted mine on a gretsch jim dandy just to complete the look.I had to shorten the parallel bars and rethread the ends, but it works great and takes the stress off the saddle.

This might work better for a guitar that has a bigger body but for a Semi Hollowbody LP style its not good.
