Since its circuitry is designed for energy efficiency, the servo motor uses less electricity than a standard clutch model. You can use it without a clutch or brake disc. The motor includes a belt guard, pulley, and the necessary mounting hardware. This 550-watt, 3/4 HP, 110-volt motor weighs 15.5 pounds.

The motor works great
I have an old consew 227 which used to operate way too fast to see anything straight. It was actually terrifying to even use the machine. So I ordered this to replace the speedy clutch motor. The motor arrived in decent time to Los Angeles. Installing the motor was easy after I found a YouTube video about it (because the motor doesn't come with any instructions). The motor itself is great- it's silent even when operating. Even with the edjustable knob to control the speed all the way down to its lowest moving setting- my machine STILL runs too fast. The speed seems to be an issue of my machine not the eagle motor. I will try getting a smaller pulley for the motor maybe that will help.

Low quality
Cheap quality, and if you have a Tacsew or Consew, your original drive belt won't work. Purchase new exact fit new belt for proper operation. Pully shaft is not balanced. It wobbles in slow speed. So I don't know in long run how much stress it will caused on motor. There are some better priced and heavy duty motors available with couple of year warranty. For this no warranty.

Works great, no noise, easy installation, arrived clean and well packed, quality plastic casing and parts, variable speed works properly. Replaced old clutch motor on Singer 241. Very satisfied!

You can make your machine slow as you want. I have no idea why I didn't get a servo motor years ago. IF you have a clutch motor you will love the servo type. no noise is a plus as well

After sewing for many years with noisy, bulky, clutch motors, these new servo motors are the bomb. They are totally silent, engage easier, and actually have more power. This is a huge upgrade for any older industrial sewing machine, especially if you do any intricate work and need precise speed and stitch control. All my machines now have new servo motors.
