  • Korean gem of a book

The stories are like all the great Japanese ones of the last century. This Korean writer is on a par with Tanizaki and Soseki for psychological depth and twists and turns of the narrative. Revealing characters and arresting plots. This goes back to the best eras of the I novels of Japan in tradition and is a fitting tribute to those masterful storytellers.

  • Title does not match the subject

It was not one the subject of the title. I expected it to have a religious theme.
