  • Timeless DC classic from 1968

Showcase 75 introduces Hawk and Dove to comic book fans. They gain powers from a “disembodied voice” when they wish they had superpowers so they could save their dad who is a judge. The stories in this title are timeless and fun to read. It is more enjoyable because Hawk and Dove are brothers with a major difference they must work through. Hawk believes in using whatever means necessary, specifically violence, in bring criminals to justice. Dove believes in understanding, compassion and giving everyone, especially criminals, a second chance. One draw for me is this is a story about a family with two teenage boys trying to achieve the same goal but in two totally different ways. The art and story are amazing. You will not regret reading this isssue.
