NotesThe Wrecking Crew met the voices (and, in a few cases, songs) of the Monkees on their smash self-titled debut (1966), their first of four straight #1 LPs. Songs by Goffin & King, Neil Diamond and Neil Sedaka joined tunes by Michael Nesmith and the group's original writers/producers, Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, on "More of the Monkees," which leads to 1967's, "Headquarters," which famously found the Monkees seizing artistic control (and their own instruments) and still soaring to #1. "Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd." and "The Birds, the Bees & the Monkees" then take us to their head-spinning 1968 movie soundtrack "Head" and post-Tork LPs "Instant Replay" and "The Monkees Present." Their 1970 LP (featuring just Dolenz and Jones) "Changes" rounds out the original Monkees LPs, leading to a bonus CD featuring singles (the smash "A Little Bit Me, a Little Bit You" plus "Porpoise Song," "Someday Man," "Goin' Down" and more), the outtake "All of Your Toys" and a 1986 remix of "Daydream Believer"). Mini-LP replica sleeves house the most recently remastered versions of "Last Train to Clarksville," "(Theme from) The Monkees," "I'm a Believer," "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone," "Pleasant Valley Sunday," "Words," "Daydream Believer," "Valleri," "D.W. love it!
what can I say - this is pretty damn awesome!! the vinyl is on the thin side, but plays well. I paid $150 for the set, so that averages out to about $15 a record - so I wasn't expecting the heavyweight vinyl. my only complaint about this - and it's not really a complaint - is that the mp3 download it comes with downloads as one album instead of having each record as an individual grouping of mp3s. it was easy enough to go into media player and rework it, but it would have been nice to be able to save that time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Finally!!!
I have searched the world over for that 86 remix on CD for ages and knew that it came out on one of the first Japan issues of the "That Was Then" disc. I found various downloads but wanted all the bits. All of these classic albums are wonderfully presented in a very nice even with the classic Colgems logo adding that extra ultra experience. I highly recommend for any Monkees fan who might have a few but not all, here is a way to get every CD in the cool mini sleeve format. Wow! I was only one when that show first aired.
