One of my favorite shows of the early 2000s. I had been trying to find this show on Netflix or Hulu for years. When I finally found the DVDs on sale on eBay, I bought all six seasons.

The George Lopez Show the best episodes in the first and second seasons. I was trying to buy a copy of the DVD series in the city where I live, but only able to find it on Ebay. I like the series because it shows a Mexican American family living every day life. The talented comic plays assembly-line worker George Lopez, who brings a blue-collar outlook to a white-collar job when he's promoted to management. Make George's casa su casa and meet his loving wife (Constance Marie) and kids (Masiela Lusha and Luis Armand Garcia) and his not-so-loving mom (Belita Moreno). In addition, George’s clueless friend Ernie (Valente Rodriguez) is in the cast and this set features recurring character Accident Amy (played by executive producer and movie star Sandra Bullock). The memorable episodes are, “Prototype” is where it starts all and George becomes the first person to be promoted from the assembly line to plant manager at a Los Angeles airplane parts factory. Then we have “Happy Birthdays” where we meet Accident Amy (Sandra Bullock). Next we have the season two premiere “Who’s Your Daddy” where George runs into long lost Aunt Cecilia who informs him that his father, who his mom has always insisted was dead, is still alive. Esai Morales guest stars in a great dream sequence. Then we have the episode “Dyslexic Show The,” where George refuses to believe Max has dyslexia. “No Free Launch” has Accident Amy returning and her bad luck continues. “Love Bites” has Carmen coming home with a hickey. Does George find his father in “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, Honey?” Cheech Marin guest stars. In the Christmas episode, “Meet the Cuban Parents,” we meet Angie’s parents, Vic and Emilina. The Valentine’s Day episode “The Valentine’s Day Massacre,” has George giving Angie a disappointing gift for Valentine's Day and Angie has a flashback to high school in the '80s, when George painted a great mural of her for the holiday. In the episode “Girl Fight,” Carmen’s problems start as she gets in a fight at school after Adam ruins her reputation saying she is “easy.” Finally, skipping to the season finale, “Long Time No See,” George finally meets his dad...but how does it turn out? The George Lopez Show is a great series and now being shown on Nick at Nite.Read full review
My son begged me to buy this dvd. I hadn't really watched the show when it was on television so I sat down to watch it with him. We spent the whole weekend watching every episode. It is one funny show. The Benny Lopez character is my favorite. She is hilarious. Though she drives the family crazy, you can see how much she really loves her son. Sandra Bullock is as adorable as ever as Accident Amy. She is a pure comedic genius. The outtakes are awesome. I wish I had watched this show when it was on television and cant wait for the rest of the seasons to come out. The one downfall to the show for me was the opening credits. I know they changed it after the second season and that was a wise decision. The catch phrases he uses like "I know, huh" have stuck with my son who uses it on a daily basis over and over again. The Lopez family act very realistically. The issues that the oldest child faced with bullying struck a chord with me as my own child had similar issues. The son acts like a typical ten year old. George and his wife face the common issues of a regular family. I can see parts of them in my own family. The issues that many families face are dealt with in a caring and humerous way. I recommend this series for anyone who enjoys the comedic talents of George Lopez. This show is original and entertaining. I have watched the episodes over and over again. They never get tiring. I am very happy with this purchase.Read full review
Oh my gosh, THIS is one funny show! What an awesome way to end one's day with one or two episodes of George Lopez to make your heart merry and go to sleep in a great mood. We watch it every night and we just love each character for what they bring to the show - Ernie, Benny, Angie, Max, Carmen, Vic and of course... George. Oh, let's not forget Gina La Cochina! lol! Just awesome! HIGHLY recommend. If you've never seen it - you 'sta loco! lol! WE LOVE YOU GEORGE!
The first season is fantastic!!! I hope that they bring out the other seasons on dvd soon! George Lopez is the funniest latino comedian that has come out in the last decade. That is why I decided to purchase the d v d set and i also own all of his standup acts that he has done over the years i just can't get enough of George Lopez!!!1
I have enjoyed the George Lopez show ever since I saw it on cable. Buying the first 2 seasons is beyond great! No commercials, and wonderful clarity. Also by having it on DVD, I do not have to worry about the show getting interrupted by anything.. except maybe a power outage.. lol If you like George Lopez, you will love having the first 2 seasons on DVD. Now I am excited about getting the rest of the seasons.
I love this series! If you like ethnic humor, this is a funny series! I own the whole set! Never a dull moment! A laugh a minute!

This is one of my favorite sitcoms, it is very funny the cast works well together and they have good chemistry. the chemistry is the hardest thing to find in a sitcom between actors. The talent is obvious, every sitcom has talented actors but can they work well together, that is the key to success for any funny sitcom and "George Lopez", has it.
George Lopez is very funny in this made for TV series. The content relates closely to situations which happen in ordinary families, but give a light-hearted insight. Exceptional casting and screenplay. The Lopez family is hilarious. A must see if you enjoy to laugh.
