Good but not spectacular
The quality of the video is OK, nothing to write home about. Not HD quality for sure. Colors seem blue emphasized and dark probably to give it more dramatic impact for its theme. The audio track is also OK with focus on the deep bass so the depth charges are pretty cool. I've heard audio tracks on Bluray disks that are MUCH better overall; this one seems "dull" with limited dynamics. Acting is good but other submarine stories like Hunt for Red October is much better. Some scenes are convincing while others are lacking. For example, when the crewman gave his life for the rest of the crew, there was little emotional impact. These I suspect are limitations imposed by the director instead of the cast. All in all, if you enjoy such themes, you will most likely be entertained. If you are into SPFX, dialog, and drama, it may leave you wanting.
