This is based on a true story that happened in Japan in the 1920s. If you have a dog in your family and if you consider him/her to be a faithful companion you should see this movie. It is a story that is unbelievable until you see it. It was filmed in Rhode Island and now they have built a statue of Hachi at the railroad station in Woonsocket.
