Incredible Traction
I just installed this and drove 350 miles the first weekend. It is great! My first hands on differential upgrade. Instructions need work. I'm still looking for the "emergency break off" whatever that might be! Photos look like a smeared fingerprint and are no help at all. The kit works great. Be sure to have your own shop manual or a lot of patience. I went wheeling in Harlan County Trails Kentucky and it worked flawlessly on and off road. My Sidekick seems unstoppable. This is a serious upgrade. I was creeping on wet leaves over rocks and logs up some very steep grades with no slippage whatsoever it was amazing! Again the kit works great, but the instructions assume that you know what you are doing and have experience with differentials. This was my first time. I was very meticulous and marked every detail also I took my own pictures. My differential was like new to start with and the lash was very tight. I recommend this for experienced skilled people only. The engineering is great. The instructions have poor terminology and some grammatical errors which are misleading. Be patient, index , mark and measure everything before disassembling.
